The Christian County Health Department is reporting eight new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Thursday to Friday.
According to an update, that puts the overall total of cases since the pandemic began at 621—of that, active cases are at 164 and 449 people have recovered from the virus. Breaking it down into age groups there are 36 active cases in the pediatric age group, 81 in the group consisting of 22 to 59-year olds, 42 in the older adult category and five in the 85 years of age and up grouping.
Christian County has had eight COVID-19 related deaths.
