McConnell: Senate Will Not Adjourn for August Recess Until COVID-19 Stimulus Materializes

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky says the Senate will not adjourn for August recess until a coronavirus relief bill materializes.

Senator McConnell said many businesses are struggling as funding for the Paycheck Protection Program is set to run out.

McConnell claimed that Congress should be strengthening the PPP, but instead “Democrats are putting it in jeopardy” to focus on “unrelated liberal demands.”
