Fort Campbell leaders say coronavirus case numbers on decline on post

Leadership on Fort Campbell says the number of cases of COVID-19 on post has been on a decline since a spike last month.

Fort Campbell and 101st Airborne Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Brian Winski says the case count has dropped by about 50 percent since mid-July.

He says less than one half of one percent of Fort Campbell’s approximately 25,000 active duty soldiers are positive and only one is hospitalized and is expected to be fine.

Fort Campbell leaders were joined in their virtual town hall by U.S. Army Sgt. Maj. Michael Gringston.
