Tyler Matzek pitched two shutout innings, striking out four, to get the win as the Atlanta Braves silenced the New York Mets 4-0 at Truist Park. Adam Duvall was walked in with the bases loaded and Johan Camargo launched a solo shot for Atlanta, which has won five straight. The Braves will host the Mets again tonight.
Javy Baez singled in the go-ahead run in the 11th inning as the Chicago Cubs edged by the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1. Kyle Schwarber doubled in a run for Chicago. Jon Lester gave up just one run over six innings. The Cubs improve to 7-and-2 and will host the Kansas City Royals tonight.
