A man was arrested Sunday night by Hopkinsville police after he allegedly damaged a stolen vehicle.
An arrest citation for 39-year old Muharrar Hopson of Hopkinsville says he got inside a woman’s vehicle on Sunnyvale Lane without her permission and left, hitting his own vehicle while backing out.
The victim’s car was damaged and it was located several minutes later on South Virginia Street and officers found Hopson walking away from it.
Hopson denied crashing the vehicle, but police say he had the keys in his pants pocket.
He was arrested and charged with felony auto theft.
