Public library continues to reopen, programs restarting

This year has certainly been very different for everyone, including the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library, which continues to reopen to the public.

Executive Director Deanna Sova appeared on WHOP Friday morning and says they’re currently in phase three of reopening—still at limited capacity and with masks required—and access is now open to the computers.

She says they’ll be looking into restarting certain programs and events as they head into August.

Sova says Leadership Hopkinsville is planning on revamping the second story balcony, and they are still fundraising for that endeavor.

The library’s passport program has restarted and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Imagination Library continues to accept sign-ups of new children.  For more information about what is taking place at the public library, contact them at 270-887-4262.
