Plans are still in place for the 70th WHOP Rotary Radio Auction to happen in September.
Auction Chair Scott Cowan says details are still being worked out, but the auction is set for September 14-19 at the War Memorial Building in downtown Hopkinsville.
The goal for the 70th annual auction is $300,000—though Cowan acknowledges that total will be difficult to reach during a pandemic. Whatever money is raised will help the club fund its student loan and Rotary Scholars Program.
This year’s auction theme is Tradition of Service Above Self.
Rotary is still seeking $174 cash donations to join the Hour Club and they need additional items for the auction. One can call Rotary at 270-886-3034 to support either of those endeavors.
