CCHD reports 29 new confirmed cases of COVID-19

Christian County saw another jump in cases of COVID-19, with 29 new confirmed cases reported in Wednesday’s update.

That’s according to the Christian County Health Department, which states those 29 cases puts the overall total at 527—180 cases are considered ‘active’ and 342 people have recovered.  Breaking it down into age groups there are 36 active cases in the pediatric age group, 102 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 34 in the older adult category and eight in the elderly age group.

Christian County has seen five COVID-19 related deaths.  The health department continues to offer free testing at the Tie Breaker Park site Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
