U of L granted extension to answer NCAA allegations

The University of Louisville has received a 45-day extension to respond to the NCAA Notice of Allegations. The university received the initial notice in early May and would have had to respond by next week, but the new deadline will be in mid-September. The allegations are related to Adidas’ alleged bribery charges involving the recruitment of Brian Bowen and other violations, including one against former head basketball coach Rick Pitino.
