The New York Yankees-Philadelphia Phillies games was postponed Tuesday for the second straight day as the Phillies were waiting for complete results from their COVID-19 tests following an outbreak among the Miami Marlins, who played a weekend series in Philadelphia.

Miami’s game with Baltimore scheduled for tonight at Marlins Park was also postponed for this evening. The Athletic reports four more Marlins have tested positive for COVID-19 and currently remain in Philadelphia. There have been 17 positive tests in two days.

Meanwhile, a majority the Washington Nationals have voted as a team against going to Miami for a weekend series with the Marlins due to COVID concerns. Major League Baseball will make the final decision.

The Miami Marlins’ coronavirus outbreak could endanger the Major League Baseball season, Dr. Anthony Fauci said today, although he doesn’t believe games needs to stop now. Fauci made his comments on ABC’s ”Good Morning America”, indicating we need to see what happens with other teams on a day to day basis.
