A single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Princeton Road in Hopkinsville sent the driver to the hospital.
A collision report from Hopkinsville police says 46-year old Jackie Abell of Madisonville was northbound when he veered off the right side of the roadway. Abell over-corrected, causing his car to go off the left side of the road before striking a ditch and coming to rest on its top.
Hopkinsville Fire and EMS had to remove Abell from his vehicle and he was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with head injuries and back pain.
