The Christian County Health Department is reporting the county’s fifth COVID-19 related death, and nine new cases from Thursday to Friday.
That’s according to Public Health Director Kayla Bebout, who says in a news release that the fifth death is an 80-year old male who had other underlying health conditions. Christian County has now had five COVID-19 related deaths.
There were nine new confirmed cases reported, bumping the overall total up to 471—the number of total active cases is 184 and 283 people have recovered. Breaking it down into age groups there are currently 44 active cases in the pediatric age group, 110 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 22 in the older adult category and seven in the elderly age group.
