CCHD reports 16 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

Christian County saw another 16 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Tuesday to Wednesday.

That’s according to the Christian County Health Department, which reports that those 16 cases puts the overall total at 447—163 of those are considered ‘active’ and 280 people have recovered from the virus.  Broken down into age groups there are 38 active cases in the pediatric age group, and there are now 100 active cases in the age group that includes adults between the ages of 22 and 59 years old.  In the older adult category there are 18 active cases and there are seven in the elderly age group.

Christian County has seen four COVID-19 related fatalities.  The health department continues to offer free COVID-19 testing at the Tie Breaker Park site Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
