Elkton has canceled its annual HarvestFest event due to the ongoing pandemic.
The City of Elkton says the decision was based on current public health information and state and local guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Officials say their priority is the health and safety of the community and they are continuing to look for alternative activities to celebrate Elkton’s bicentennial later in the year if possible.
HarvestFest had been scheduled for October 21.
