The NFL and its players union have agreed to daily coronavirus testing. A league memo states daily testing would be required for the first two weeks. If the positive percentage is below five percent, testing would scale back to every other day. Players and staff will be required to test negative twice before they arrive at the team’s facility.
Meanwhile, the NFL is reportedly extending its players union an offer of no preseason. According to multiple reports, the league is making an offer of zero preseason games this season along with an acclimation period of seven to 18 days for teams. The NFLPA has reportedly yet to make a decision as they work on the financials with the NFL.
