Princeton’s Emma Talley finished with a two day total of 142 in the professional division of the 82nd Irvin Cobb Golf Championship that concluded Sunday at Paxton Park Golf Course in Paducah. Talley-the first woman to play in the event-tied for ninth and finished 11 shots behind winner Fred Meyer. Paducah’s Russ Cochran had a two day total of 145.
In the amateur division, Justin Johns, Avery Edwards and Christian Tooley all tied at 139, with Johns winning on the second hole of a sudden death playoff. Former University Heights standout Tadd Switzer had 147 along with former Christian County and current Murray State golfer Carson Holmes. Hopkinsville High senior James Folz had 158 following a pair of 79’s.
