Rahm wins The Memorial, Nicklaus says he had Covid-19

Jon Rahm of Spain is celebrating after a holding off a comeback on the back nine from Ryan Palmer to win the 2020 Memorial Tournament. Rahm built up an eight-shot lead over Palmer, who then stormed back to within three strokes with three holes to play. The victory came on the 17th when Rahm birdied, and Palmer bogeyed, but Rahm was given a two-shot penalty that didn’t affect the outcome when his ball moved slightly when he placed his wedge behind it. The win is Rahm’s tenth on the PGA Tour and moves him ahead of Rory McIlroy for number one in the world.

Golf legend Jack Nicklaus revealed that both he and his wife tested positive for the coronavirus early on in the pandemic. Nicklaus announced during the telecast of the Memorial Tournament that he and his wife tested positive while at their home in March. The 80-year-old golf legend says his wife had no symptoms and he had a sore throat and a cough. Symptoms finally went away in April.
