NFL stars are taking to social media to push for a safe return to play. Players from around the league urged the NFL to listen to guidance regarding Covid-19 protocols and used the hashtag “We Want To Play” as part of their message. The idea behind the social media campaign reportedly came from Miami Dolphins defensive back Byron Jones.
Players including Seattle’s Russell Wilson and Arizona’s Kyler Murray were among many taking part in the social media activity. Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett went as far as to say there won’t be a season if the league can’t keep its players safe.
