CCHD reports 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19

The Christian County Health Department is reporting 19 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 locally from Tuesday to Wednesday.

According to Wednesday’s update, those 19 cases puts the total since the pandemic began at 286—79 of those are now considered ‘active’ and 203 people have recovered from the virus.  Breaking the case down into age groups, there are 15 active cases in the pediatric age group, 51 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 11 in the older adult category and two now in the elderly age group.

Christian County has seen four COVID-19 related deaths.

No other information was immediately available, with the next expanded update set to take place on Tuesday.  The health department continues to offer free testing at the Tie Breaker Site Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
