CCPS asking for input about virtual learning academy with survey

The Christian County Public School System is beginning preparation into launching a virtual learning academy option for students, but they need the public’s input.

Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, CCPS will be providing an open enrollment process to all parents to enroll their student in our Virtual Academy, giving parents who have students with underlying health issues or who are just concerned an option outside of traditional learning.  With the virtual academy option, the district will provide all educational curriculum, resources, technology needs, and teacher support for those students opting not to return to in-person classes.

As they work to determine the need for this option in the community, parents and guardians are asked to participate in a survey about the academy—the district says it is vital they hear from families who will be learning online instead of returning to school.

The survey can be found on the Christian County Public Schools Facebook page and website— if you are unable to access the survey, call the school board office at 270-887-7000 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. next week.
