Don’t drink and drive this holiday weekend

If you plan to celebrate the Fourth of July at a gathering this weekend, Kentucky State Police is encourage you to be safe at the party or cookout and on your way home.

Trooper Corey King is encouraging Kentuckians to take precautions to avoid getting sick if you go to a get-together and plan ahead for a safe and sober ride home.

He says there’s no excuse to drive home drunk with so many ride-sharing services available.

Police agencies across Kentucky will have extra patrols out through the holiday weekend looking to stop and arrest anyone driving impaired.
