The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a flash flood watch for all of western Kentucky until 7 a.m. Wednesday with heavy rain in the forecast.
Forecasters say one to three inches of rain is likely during that timeframe and locally higher amounts are possible.
Flooding will become likely in low-lying and poor drainage areas and flooding will be possible in rivers, creeks and streams.
Motorists encountering standing water are reminded—turn around, don’t drown.
