Betsy Bond named new United Way director

Betsy Bond has been selected as the new executive director of United Way of the Pennyrile.

Bond has served as interim director since March. Prior to serving as interim director, Bond has owned and operated, That’s Neat!, aiding clients in residential organization and photo management.

She previously served as executive director of St. Luke Free Clinic of Hopkinsville, a previous term as interim executive director of the United Way of the Pennyrile, as well as membership and marketing director for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Chamber of Commerce.

Bond holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Murray State University with a focus in Marketing. She is a Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County graduate, and has been actively involved with community organizations such as the Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile and Challenge House.

Bond is quoted in a news release as saying, “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead such an amazing organization. I look forward to working with the United Way’s dedicated staff, board of directors, partner agencies, supporters and selfless volunteers to help our community thrive.”

Funds raised each year by the United Way of the Pennyrile support 20 non-profit agencies that support residents in Christian, Todd, Trigg and Caldwell counties.
