Heavy rain was likely a factor in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning in Clarksville that killed the driver.
Clarksville police say it happened sometime between 7:30 and 8 a.m. on the 41A Bypass, where 55-year old Diane Kestner had been traveling eastbound in a pickup. Her vehicle went off the side of the roadway and traveled down an embankment near Queens Bluff.
Her family members began looking for her when she failed to reach her destination and a relative and a Clarksville police officer located her truck at the bottom of the embankment. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
