PACS to provide transit to voting precinct on June 23

Pennyrile Allied Community Services will be providing transportation to the James E. Bruce Convention Center on June 23 for people to have a chance to vote in the primary election.

There is only one voting precinct in Christian County during this primary, due to restriction set down because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is located at the James Bruce Convention Center. PACS will offer free transportation to those going to vote from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on June 23.

Participants can get on at any bus stop on any of the city routes and ride to the station where another bus will be available to transport to the convention center and back to the station. PACS is still limiting the number of riders per governor’s recommendations and will not be able to deviate the routes for these rides but also will have another bus to assist for any overflow at the bus stops if needed.

Face masks will be required by all riders.  The Christian County Health Department will be providing masks to those who do not have one. For more information, call 270-890-6055.

A good portion of the voting has occurred via mail-in absentee ballot, but citizens will be able to cast a ballot on June 23 and the convention center.
