The YMCA of Hopkinsville-Christian County continues to reopen as part of their phased plan, with the pool opening for certain activities this week.
Appearing on the Early Bird Show Monday morning, Associate Executive Director Kristen Lilly says they had their soft opening last week and things have been going well—they are still asking for people to make reservations so they can more easily sanitize the equipment.
The YMCA pool opened Monday, but Lilly made sure to clarify that it is only open for laps and aerobics.
She says they continue to provide meals to youth in the community as they head into the summer months.
Summer camps will begin soon, and Lilly says there are only a few spots left open, so if you want your child to participate, make sure to register them soon. The YMCA will continue to slowly return to normal, so for more information about procedures, programs and the feeding program, contact the facility at (270) 887-5382.
