Kevin Harvick took the checkered flag for the second time this season, breezing to victory for the 51st time in his career at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Harvick took back the lead from Kyle Busch, who briefly threatened. Busch finished second while Martin Truex Junior took third. Ryan Blaney and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top five.

TMZ is reporting that former wide receiver Reche Caldwell was shotand killed during an attempted robbery Saturday in Tampa, Florida. He was 41 years old. TMZ said Caldwell’s mother confirmed the news and explained he was leaving to take his girlfriend on a date and was going back into his home to get a jacket when a couple of people jumped out of bushes and tried to rob him. Caldwell was shot in the leg and chest and died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. Caldwell played for the University of Florida before the San Diego Chargers selected him in the second round of the 2002 draft. He had 152 catches for 1,851 yards and 11 touchdowns in five seasons with
the Chargers, New England Patriots and Washington Redskins.
Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Ken Riley, whose 65 interceptions are tied for the fifth-most in NFL history, has died at the age of 72. Riley spent his entire 15-year career with Cincinnati after the Bengals selected him in the sixth round of the 1969 draft and played in a franchise-record 207 games. Riley was also the head coach and athletics director at Florida A&M, where he was a four-year starter at quarterback before entering the NFL.
Former Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Zook has died at the age of 72 after a long battle with cancer. A fourth-round pick out of Kansas University, Zook was with Atlanta from 1969-75, teaming on the opposite end of the defensive line as Hall of Famer Claude Humphrey. Zook started 97 of 98 contests with the Falcons and made the 1973 Pro Bowl.
