The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville will reopen by appointment next week.
A news release says the Pennyroyal Area Museum, the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum, and The Vault gift shop will open by appointment on Tuesday, June 9.
Officials say the Museums are making every effort to ensure a healthy and fun environment. In an effort to provide a positive and safe experience, visitation will be limited to one household unit at a time. Appointment times will be 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. and may be made through the museums’ website or by calling 270-887-4270.
Staff will wear cloth masks while interacting with guests and will have their temperature checked daily and will follow local and state recommendations if one exhibits a fever.
Museum staff will disinfect public areas between scheduled guest visits. Hand sanitizer will be provided for visitor use upon entry and at interactive exhibits.
Visitors will be encouraged to wear masks while in the museum.
