Todd Co. at 19 cases of COVID-19, 15 people have recovered

The Todd County Health Department is reporting another new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 19 since the pandemic began.

Of those 19 cases, only four of them are considered ‘active’, and 15 individuals have recovered. The patient is an otherwise healthy adult who is not connected to other Todd County cases, and is an out of county worker who is believed to have contracted the virus at work. They are displaying mild symptoms and have been instructed to self-isolate for 14 days.

The investigation continues to inform all direct contacts. Public Health Director Jen Harris says going back to work creates an opportunity to have more contacts, so it is important for employers to create a work environment that allows workers to socially distance and take frequent hygiene breaks.
