Baptist Health Madisonville to begin allowing limited visitors

As the healthcare sector continues it’s phased reopening in Kentucky, Baptist Health Madisonville is now allowing a limited number of visitors starting Monday.

According to a news release, the hospital began limiting visitation in March in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and then suspended visitation last month in accordance with state recommendations. Those restrictions have now been eased. The new visitor guidelines for Baptist Health Madisonville include one visitor allowed at a time for inpatient critical care patients that are not COVID related, visitation is limited to one birthing partner that should remain the same throughout the duration of the mother’s stay for childbirths and one visitor will be allowed to accompany a patient for surgery or other invasive procedures.

No visitors will be allowed for outpatient oncology or for patients with COVID-19. Visiting hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and visitors must wash their hands, wear a mask at all times, stay two hours or less when visiting a patient and use designated entrance and exits.
