A Hopkinsville man was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a collision involving a moped on Noel Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, a moped operated by 60-year old David Pless of Hopkinsville was traveling south bound on Noel Avenue when he started to go straight through the intersection of Wayne Drive. While in the intersection, an SUV reportedly pulled out in front of him, making a left hand turn.
Pless attempted to avoid a collision and laid over the moped. He was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries. The driver of the SUV—whose name was not provided—reportedly applied their breaks to avoid a collision, and was not injured.
