Fort Campbell’s 531st Hospital Center is back on post and the number of COVID-19 cases associated with the installation continues to drop.
Leadership hosted another virtual town hall Tuesday night on Facebook and Fort Campbell and 101st Airborne Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Brian Winksi says there is only one active duty soldier with the virus.
Those members of the 531st who returned Tuesday will have to quarantine until May 21 before reuniting with their family to be certain they are not carriers of the coronavirus.
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Commander, Col. Patrick Birchfield announced additional elective medical appointments and procedures are resuming on Fort Campbell.
While everyone was pleased with the relatively low number of COVID cases associated with Fort Campbell, Command Sgt. Major Bryan Barker noted it would only take a few errors of judgement to spread the virus and reverse all of the good that’s happened so far.
