The Tampa Bay Times reports Florida Tech University is eliminating its football program due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Division Two school is believed to be the first to shut its program down due to the pandemic. Florida Tech began its program in 2011. School officials say 120 players and eight coaches were affected. The school also said it would honor scholarships for the affected players for four years.
