Home struck in early morning shooting

A home was struck by gunfire early Sunday morning on North Fowler Avenue.

Three people were inside the home in the 100 block of North Fowler when it was struck by a single bullet, but no one was injured, according to Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Shannon Wells.

Several shell casings were located in the roadway near the home and police believe the shots may have been fired from a sedan that was seen leaving the area.

Sgt. Wells says HPD received multiple calls of shots fired in the city throughout the night, including in the 400 block of Hancock Street, where shell casings were recovered.

Anyone with information on the incident should call Crime Stoppers at 270-887-TIPS.
