KCTCS announces summer and fall semester plans

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System has announced plans for how summer and fall semesters will look in the coming future.

According to a news release, courses will be offered in a variety of formats including, fully online classes as well as face-to-face classes and some options that are a mixture of both. Face-to-face classes will have a strong online or remote instruction part, so if in-person classes must move online for any reason, the transition will be easier for students.

Each college in the system will develop plans to meet social distancing and health requirements and strengthen virtual student support. Summer classes will begin soon and are available in an online-only format, with a few in-person classes tentatively scheduled for July at some colleges.

Hopkinsville Community College and Madisonville Community College are part of the KCTCS system.  To stay up-to-date on what actions those colleges will be taking, follow them on Facebook.

KCTCS will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow the governor’s guidelines regarding higher education.
