The Tennessee Titans selected cornerback Kristian Fulton of LSU at number 61 overall in the second round, turning to their defense on the second night of the NFL draft. Fulton started all 15 games and broke up a team-high 14 passes as LSU won the national championship this season. Fulton will have a chance to replace cornerback Logan Ryan, who started every game he played the past three seasons and led the NFL in tackles this postseason. He became a free agent in March.
The Titans chose Darrynton Evans, a running back from Appalachian State with the 93rd overall pick in the third round. Evans was named Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2019 after ranking in the top 10 nationally with 1,480 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on 255 carries. He also caught 21 passes for 198 yards and five scores in 14 starts. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the SBC Championship Game and New Orleans Bowl.
