Hopkins County has 99 total COVID-19 cases, 49 have recovered

Hopkins County is up to 99 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and there’s hope additional testing could be available there soon.

Kroger is partnering with state government and other agencies to bring drive-thru testing to areas across Kentucky and Judge-Executive Jack Whitfield says he’s spoken to Governor Andy Beshear about a potential site in Hopkins County.

Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton identified the 103-year old Hopkins County woman who has recovered from COVID-19 as Virginia Harris and says she should be an inspiration for others.

Eight people have died from coronavirus in Hopkins County and 49 of the 99 patients have made full recoveries.
