Imagination Library putting on ‘reading bingo’ challenge

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Imagination Library is continuing to serve children in the community despite the pandemic, and officials say it is more important than ever.

Sarah Hardison is the imagination library coordinator and she says sign-ups have stayed steady even during the closures caused by COVID-19, and she’s glad to see it.

The seed library went very quickly last week, so Hardison says in place of that they will have imagination library books outside the library on Tuesdays and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.  She says the books will contain a ‘reading bingo challenge’, giving people something fun to do.

Books will be available as long as supplies last and participants are asked to take only two books. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school. Hardison says at the moment, books are continuing to ship to participants as normal.
