Sancutary, Inc. continues to serve those in need even in the face of COVID-19, and they’re putting on the word about April being Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
Carrie Tackett is a community education coordinator at Sanctuary and says this awareness campaign is all about letting survivors of assault know that Sanctuary stands with them and hopefully spread the message of consent.
There are some events left to take part in, including Chalk the Walk on April 17 and then Denim Day on April 29, and Tackett says the public can participate and show their support.
She says that Sanctuary continues to serve the Pennyrile region even during the pandemic, and she urges those who need help to not hesitate to reach out.
The 24/7 crisis line number is 1-800-766-0000 and more information can be found on the Sanctuary, Inc. Facebook page.
