There are two clinics actively testing for COVID-19 in Todd County and Public Health Director Jen Harris says most of the community is heeding the advice to avoid large gatherings.
The Blount and Bell Clinics are the locations testing patients with symptoms and Harris says she’s certain there are more cases than the three that have been confirmed.
Harris has received strong compliance from the large Amish and Mennonite communities in Todd County to cease their in-person worship meetings and other congregations have also complied, with the exception of one church.
With the nice weather settling into the region, Harris says don’t let that make you disregard social-distancing guidance—you can still go outside, but don’t congregate with others outside your household.
Perhaps just as important, Harris says maintain those frequent and thorough hand washing practices.
