Library looking to still help community while closed

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is working to still benefit the community although they are shut down at least until May due to COVID-19.

Director Deanna Sova says many parents are now trying to teach their students at home, due to school closures, and the library offers several databases of information through their website—though she says you will need to email her for a password.

Sova’s email is director@hccpl.org and she says you can find numerous educational activities to do at home for all grade levels.

The library is also continuing to do their free book cart, which is placed outside of the library for people to browse through books and take home some.  Sova encourages people to read them and not bring them back, but pass them around to others who may find them interesting.

The best way to stay updated on happenings at the public library is to like the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library Facebook page.
