Rotary Auction postponed to September

The 70th Annual WHOP Rotary Radio Auction has been postponed by about five months due to concerns over COVID-19.

The auction that had been scheduled for the third week of April will now hopefully happen September 14-19, according to Auction Chair Scott Cowan.

While the auction raises money for the Rotary Scholars Program, student loan program and other charitable efforts—it’s also a social occasion that brings the community together at the War Memorial Building.

You can still make a cash donation to the Hour Club in the meantime and Cowan says over 200 donors have already taken that big step in tough times.

Cowan says the decision to postpone was made with unanimous consent of the Rotary Board.
