NBA Roundup

According to reports, the NBA has no intention of canceling the 2019-2020 season. New Orleans Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations David Griffin said this weekend that the league’s focus is on getting back to play. He also says cancelation isn’t on anyone’s mind.

The league plans to pay its players through April 1st, but a clause in the league’s collective bargaining agreement could prevent players from being paid out after that.

Meanwhile, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert spent part of his Sunday tweeting about symptoms of coronavirus. Gobert said he has lost his sense of smell and taste over the past few days. He is recovering after being the first NBA player confirmed to have the virus.
