Todd Co. government buildings close to in-person services, APSU and MSU graduation postponed

Todd County government buildings have been added to the long list of facilities closed to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All Todd County government buildings ceased providing in-person government services to the public effective close of business Tuesday, according to a news release.

Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield says county services will be provided on the phone, online or through the mail when possible.

In other announcements, the Hopkinsville Visitors Center has closed, though they will continue to post ways on social media to support the community.

The Hopkinsville Art Guild will be open by appointment only through the end of the month and the Hopkinsville YMCA will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday through at least March 30. Todd County’s bicentennial celebrations scheduled for April have been postponed.

South of the state line where Montgomery County has declared a state of emergency, Austin Peay State University has delayed spring commencement because of concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. Classes at APSU have moved to an online format for the remainder of the semester. Murray State will also complete the remainder of the semester online and has postponed its spring commencement.
