While it wasn’t in the final round of The Players Championship Sunday at TPC Sawgrass, Louisville area native Justin Thomas and good friend Rickie Fowler had a friendly match at an unnamed Florida course Sunday. Thomas had a 65 but said on his Twitter feed he was “smoked” by Fowler who had 59. Thomas added the mid-season “off season” is going well.
The next three PGA Tour events-including The Masters-were cancelled Friday due to concerns over the Coronavirus pandemic.
