Former University of Louisville head coach Rick Pitino will become the new coach at Iona University. The 67-year-old Pitino is replacing Tim Cluess, who stepped down Friday due to health reasons. The New York Post reported Friday Pitino’s name had surfaced as a candidate. Pitino had been coaching a professional team in Greece after being fired by Louisville in 2018 as part of the massive college basketball bribery scheme.
