Two killed, driver sought for manslaughter and DUI following Marshall County crash

Two people were killed and one is facing a manslaughter charge following a multi-vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon on US 68 in Marshall County.

It happened about 1:30 p.m. at the Moors Camp Highway intersection, with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office saying several occupants from two different vehicles were injured.

Investigation determined one of the drivers, Kevin West of Benton, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. One of his passengers, 59-year old Randall Massey of Clavert City, died Sunday from his injuries.

A passenger in the other vehicle, 82-year old Youlane Cathey of Benton, died Tuesday at a hospital.

West was treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and has since left the hospital. He is sought on warrants for second-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault, DUI, trafficking in a controlled substance and other crimes.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Kevin West should call the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at 270-527-1333.
