Austin Peay advanced to tonight’s semifinals with a 76-65 win over Eastern Illinois. Bowling Green’s Terry Taylor-the OVC Player of the Year- led the Governors with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Former Hopkinsville High standout Jaqualis Matlock had two points and eight rebounds in defeat. The Governors will meet Murray State for the third time this evening at Evansville’s Ford Center in semifinal action.
The other quarterfinal game saw Eastern Kentucky top Tennessee State 58-48 with the Colonels to face top seed Belmont in the other semifinal game this evening.
