Kentucky completed play Sunday in The Spring Games in North Orlando, FL with a 4-0 win over Dartmouth. Former Christian County standout Emmy Blane started at third base and went 0-1. UK is now 17-3 and opens Southeastern Conference play Saturday afternoon at 1 Central time against Texas A&M.
Murray State split a pair of games Sunday at the Coach B Classic at Southern Illinois defeating Purdue Fort Wayne 5-2 and losing to Southern Illinois 8-6 in eight innings. Former Christian County standout Tyler Shemwell was a pinch hitter against Purdue Fort Wayne and went 0-1. Murray State is now 11-6 and opens play at the Mizuno Classic Friday in Stillwater, OK.
Austin Peay scored three times in the bottom of the 8th inning to walk off IUPUI 11-10 Sunday in the consolation game of the WKU Spring Fling. The Lady Governors improved to 6-10 and will meet Bradley on Friday.
