Planter’s Bank has donated the proceeds raised from their sixth annual Season of Giving and several local agencies benefitted from the fundraiser.
According to a news release, Planter’s Bank donated around $27,350 to area non-profits in western Kentucky and Tennessee. In Christian County, the recipients were the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library receiving $3,263, the Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile getting $1,262 and the United Way of the Pennyrile received $1,526.
Completing its sixth year, the Planters Bank Season of Giving is a bank tradition that has a goal of bringing awareness to each non-profit agency’s mission at the same time as fundraising for the organizations.
CEO and President Elizabeth McCoy says, “As a community bank, it is our responsibility to give back to our community. The Season of Giving is a great way for our employees, our communities, and our non-profits to all come together for these great causes.”
